upload several files at one time - llby - 01-14-2010 Hi, Sorry for my grammar :p The title explains everything : a nice feature would be to upload several files in one shot, maybe with same comments, or different comments, but the possibility to copy the comments typed in the first one to all files. When is the new version coming up ? Nice job anyway, good luck to all ![]() RE: upload several files at one time - sqanto - 01-14-2010 Hello and welcom the new version comm on end of this month (end of january) your idea is very good this is a nice feature idea wher are you from PS: my grammer is as not so good RE: upload several files at one time - llby - 01-14-2010 Hi Thank you ![]() I'm from France. RE: upload several files at one time - administrator - 03-17-2010 we will adding this feature in the next update. LetoDMS 1.7.4 it will be ajax based. Thanks LetoDMS RE: upload several files at one time - InspectorDan - 04-28-2010 I would vote for this feature as well. I am a Windows user however, that we're going to try and move to Linux in the next couple years so some cross platform system would be nice. RE: upload several files at one time - michaelthomsen - 08-10-2010 Any update on this, can't see it in version 1.9 I think this is essential. thank you Michael (04-28-2010, 10:29 AM)InspectorDan Wrote: I would vote for this feature as well. RE: upload several files at one time - matteo lucarelli - 08-10-2010 I don't know what you intend for several files a time. Should every file create a new document? How to choose the name of the document? Which way to upload several file (tar.gz, multiple selection, directory content)? RE: upload several files at one time - michaelthomsen - 08-10-2010 Hi One use is the initial upload of all documents. I would also use it for upload of documents for sharing (documents we may share as a resource but not necessarily work on). This would require a default setting in terms of comment, status etc. It would be nice to have an option to select Release status or draft status with a default editor. Every file should create a new document. The name of the document should be same as the original file name. Method of upload: Multiple selection would be good, but also from a directory content. I would love to simply tar.gz or zip a whole folder, upload it to a directory, extract the files and tell LetoDMS to create new documents for each file. This means of course that I have to select the appropriate folder or subfolder. I know nothing of programming, so I don't know if this is difficult, but it would be a brilliant addition! Another minor issue: I would like to be able to change a Release status back to draft. It is a minor issue because I can just download it and upload it again, but why not have that option? thank you very much Michael (08-10-2010, 02:59 PM)matteo lucarelli Wrote: I don't know what you intend for several files a time. RE: upload several files at one time - matteo lucarelli - 08-10-2010 Then shoud be something like: - select a folder - write a single comment that will be used for all new documents - upload an archive - the DMS will create a new document for every file in the archive using the filename as document name (no subfolder) Right? sounds usefoul. I'll evalute it to put in the next release BTW: you CAN change back the status of a released document to draft. You simply have to add a new reviewer/approver to the document RE: upload several files at one time - michaelthomsen - 08-10-2010 yes, that sounds right. Be careful with ful and foul in English ![]() Foul means bad, or dirty, eg foul play, foul weather etc Thank you for explaining how to change to draft! cheers Michael (08-10-2010, 04:57 PM)matteo lucarelli Wrote: Then shoud be something like: |
