Invalid Document ID - nowayjose - 08-27-2010

When I try to view a document through the browser I receive the error "Invalid Document ID".

I have read everything in the forum and tried all options to no avail. I am using Ubuntu 10 with LAMP installed. I've tried to adding the Rewrite Mod information, however, Ubuntu does not have/use the httpd.conf file. Instead it uses apache2.conf. I placed the Rewrite Mod info in that file and still get the same error.

Please help.

Which LetDMS version are you using?
Which exact operation causes the error?
Can you post the complete link causing the error?

I am using 1.9
Upon clicking the "View Online" link a new window opens and gives the error "Invalid Document ID"

Unfortunately this is on an "Intranet" server so you will not be able to access the link you are requesting. http://intranet/doc-control/op/op.ViewOnline.php?documentid=5&version=1

It could be due to a known bug on "view on line" function. Some users have proposed a patch for 1.9 version (search "view on line" in the forum) or update to the new version.

I have reviewed all the fixes in the forum to no avail. I am currently using version 1.9, I am not aware of another version that is available.

The new 2.0 is online in the download section (sourceforge).
Has a lot of bugfixes and some cool new feature.
Give it a try.

I've updated to 2.0. Now when I try to view online a download dialog appears... basically it's as if I clicked the download link. I see no difference in either. Isn't this option supposed to show the word document within the actual browser?

Anyone have any suggestions?

So you are saying that nothing happens. A few questions,

A. You are saying that you receive this error on both the Download link and the View Online link correct?
B. Does it happen with every new document? Does it happen with any file type (.txt, .doc, .xls, etc...)?
C. Is there any additional information under the log files after you receive the exception?

Matt

I've updated to 2.0. I no longer receive the "Invalid Document ID" error, however, now when I try to view online a "Download" dialog appears asking me to either 'Open' or 'Save' the document... basically it's as if I clicked the download link. I see no difference in either.

It does not matter what document type I select and there are no log files or any other messages.

I thought the "View Online" option supposed to show the word document within the actual browser without the need or use of Word or Excel, etc being loaded.
