Blank Page Displayed - Daniel - 10-13-2010 Hi, I installed LetoDMS on my Synology Disk Station. I created a Subfolder called dms within web which is the root folder. Database and all the things went fine. If i want to open my newly installed DMS it points me direclty to http://10.1.3.13/dms/out/out.ViewFolder.php and shows a blank page. As i tried it successfully on a Ubuntu virtual webserver before i can't figure the problem out as it worked fine there. I just had to adapt the paths to reflect the new location. I attached my settings file, did i mistyped something and i can't find it out? Thanks for your help. RE: Blank Page Displayed - matteo lucarelli - 10-13-2010 Your settings seems ok. What if you pointo to: http://10.1.3.13/dms/ do you see the login page? RE: Blank Page Displayed - Daniel - 10-14-2010 (10-13-2010, 06:43 PM)matteo lucarelli Wrote: Your settings seems ok. Hi Matteo, It points me to the site mentioned, i never reach the login page but i also get no indication of any error message. Should i not install it within a subfolder? I set the permissions for all files to 777 but it doesn't change anything. Maybe something wrong with the PHP. I will try to install it within the main directory and post my result. Regards Daniel Looks like something with the files is wrong. In the main directory the same issue occurs and if i remove the database information from the config file no error message appears (that appeared on the virtual webserver). If you have any idea please let me know. Best Regards Daniel RE: Blank Page Displayed - Daniel - 10-14-2010 OK Problem is resolved and this may help others too. If a Synology Station is used as server for LetoDMS the path you put the data (web/yourfolder) is not really the path the data resides. To bring it to work you must use the following path: /var/services/web/yourpath With this setting it works. It was a little bit tricky to find it out. I managed to get the path using a phpinfo file and checked DOCUMENT_ROOT and SCRIPT_FILENAME within the displayed page. This will help to find out if the folder you see in your FTP client, is really the folder the data resides. Regards Daniel RE: Blank Page Displayed - matteo lucarelli - 10-14-2010 Ok, this is due to server path which is chrooted, so the user doesn't see the real path on the server. The real installation path must be explicity asked to the service provider. This problem is common to all PHP services installations and is signaled on the README (quick installation instruction). RE: Blank Page Displayed - Daniel - 10-14-2010 Hi Matteo, I suggest to recommend the usage of the phpinfo feature to find out if your environment is chrooted. Maybe you can add this to the Readme to prevent questions. It was hard to find out that the environment is chrooted as they don't advise in any of the settings that you need to be aware of that. Regards Daniel RE: Blank Page Displayed - chenbj@yahoo.com - 11-09-2010 Hi, I got the same problem. But I installed over a CentOS 4.8. I installed 2.0.1 using procedures from" http://www.letodms.com/doc/doku.php?id=install:install" but can not enter setting procedure. How to find if my environment is chrooted? Regards Gary RE: Blank Page Displayed - matteo lucarelli - 11-10-2010 Every web host uses the chroot. Ask them! |
