letodms2.02 After the document uploaded mentioned Document deleted. - starsliao - 12-01-2010

I installed letodms in the server and configured with readme's instruction. Logined letodms successful then clicked Add document ,after that the document was uploaded completely .But after clicked and opened the document page, "Document deleted"was mentioned in Current version,and I could not download the document .
But sometimes the uploaded ducuments could be downloaded. The other problem is when the uploaded document' filename was chinese ,the filename was garbled in database. I just want to kown what the problem is and how to solve the trouble.

I got the same error after I changed the name of the document folder in data. I also changed this name in inc.Settings.php ($_contentOffsetDir). But then all documents were not available.

A rename back to the original number 1048576 solved this problem.

after some time using the old 1.7. myDMS I decided to update to letoDMS 2.0.2 , followed the README procedure to update,
- backups , DB dump , file copy , settings edit & admin loggin OK
- when I execute the UPDATE-v1.8.1/update.php , after a while I get this error:

Updating ...please wait
ERROR: An error occurred during the directory reordering


...how can I get extra information about what type of error and how to solve it?

anyway I continued executing the UPDATE-v1.9 and UPDATE-v2.0.2 , All my old documents are displayed as "Document deleted" , new documents are uploaded viewed OK.

..how can I apply the UPDATE-v1.8.1 correctly?

hi heyy

how are you doing ?

all you have to do . upload all 2.02 files to your directory.

and import the db to mysql

then go to the DMS directory and it should work

and you don't need to run 1.8.1 update if you upgrading to 2.02

I repeated the update without applying any updateVxx, only uploaded all 2.02 files and imported the db to mysql, same result:
All files marked as "Document deleted" and "Table 'letodms.tbldocumentfiles' doesn't exist" message on the Attachments field...

..not sure if I understood you correctly, on the README there is a NOTE: UPDATING FROM A PREVIOUS VERSION :

Every script is require to update starting from a version previous than the
one in the folder name. For example to update from a 1.7.1 to 1.9 you need
to run both UPDATE-v1.8.1/update.php and UPDATE-v1.9/update.php.

and I am trying to update from a 1.7 to a 2.02 so I think I should apply correctly those updates ..?

is there a way to know what kind of error occurred during the directory reordering?

I solved the problem. added some feedback to the 1.8.1/update.php script.
the problem was that some files were "missing" on the old data folder ( strange where all my *.xcf files where lost ). fixed by hand an all the update scripts ran without problems. 2.02 works perfecly.
