Limitations of full text search - EricM - 03-10-2012

Does someone know what document types would be indexed with the full-text search capability?

I see that it indexes PDF files, but I'm not seeing that there are any hits on .doc or .docx or .odt. Perhaps I'm missing some extension, or maybe I've made a mistake during installation? I'm using a Linux host, if that makes any difference.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

.doc files are indexed if catdoc is installed. For excel files you need scconvert. The next version of letodms will have more settings to set
your own programms to retrieve the text for indexing.
