Lock File - dting - 04-09-2010 Hi, I don't think this is a proper place to place this question, but I just do not where to ask.... I am new to LetoDMS and I find it quite useful. I don't see, however, the different between Lock and Unlock a file. Anyone can help? Thanks, Danny RE: Lock File - matteo lucarelli - 04-09-2010 The lock function is intended mainly to leave a flag for the other users to avoid concurrent modification of the same document. The meaning is "pay attention, I'm currently editing this file". If you upgrade to the new release (>=1.7.3) the lock status is underlined with a warning messages in the document page, so it's use should be self-explanatory. In addition in "myDocument" page the user has the list of documents currently locked by themself. RE: Lock File - dting - 04-12-2010 Thanks for the explanation. I thought it is a mean to prevent other user from editing the document. RE: Lock File - matteo lucarelli - 04-20-2010 That's it. Simply is a "soft" lock, and every authorized user can remove it. |
