After using the browser cyberduck most functions work as you promised. :-)
Now I can upload a document to the DMS by drag and drop, I can open e.g. a uploaded word document with word, edit it and save it. Then a new version is stored in letoDMS. Fine!
There is only one aspect: as I opend a word document with mac finder, the document was "blocked" in letoDMS (it was locked by the user, who was working on this document).
This feature isn't working with cyberduck. :-(

Normally this should not be allowed for a normal user (should only be allowed for admin), espacially not for my own documents.
Or is it just the fact that all versions are deleted.
What do you expect if a user deletes one of her documents?

Only the admin should be allowed to change something when document is released.
It could be a better way that a webdav uploaded document isn't released already. Should be "awaiting approval" first.
Do you agree, Uwe?
You are right. letodms has configuration options to enable/disable modifications/deletion of a version, but those are currently not regarded by the webdav server. I should fix that. Not releasing a document after upload via webdav, but putting it on approval appears to be a bit to complicated for the user, because it requires additional operations to release the document. BTW, who is put in as the approver?
