Thanks for answering, not entirely sure if it is the answer we need thou, as I mentioned I am not really into the instalation side of things but my friend is, his main question is that the MyDMS that is installed in the ubuntu system at the moment is actually part of the ubuntu where as far as I understand, the newer LetoDMS is actually a separate program to install,
Here is his comment to me on this subject.
"The one you have is integrated with the operating system, i would need to remove that one to install a manual copy of it, and it wouldn't be straight forward"
From what I can gather then is that the older version I am running comes with the Ubuntu OS but the newer letodms doesn't, As I have a number of setups in this already, are there any solutions for an easy update to the newer version from old?
