Hi,
I have problems with the login.
I tried to install version 3 RC3 with modifications in a 1and1 host, the browser return the message: Database update needed..
I don´t know what happend, in my local pc with xampp everything goes good.
If i try to installa a new version 3 RC3 ,RC4.. or the last stable version 3 the error message is: Notice: Undefined property: Settings::$_ldapBaseDN. I change the $_httpRoot of my domain to the name of the directory but nothing happend, the same error.
Thanks very much for your work.

I got the 'database update needed' when I forgot to start mysql server. Make sure that the 1and1 host mysql is enabled. Also try running check.php (available somewhere in the forum) - this has helped me tremendously.
good luck

Thanks for comment.
Mysql is enable and in check.php all is OK except ldap config, but this is optional.
I think the error is in my config with 1and1, but i can´t find the error.

Yes, the message is because I put reporting erros in the settings conf file.
In a new installation when I try to login into application with "admin", "admin" its returns to the login panel and never enter into application, this is my problem. If I enter an invalid admin and password the message is correct, invalid name or password but with correct data never enter into application.
When I upload the copy of my PC to 1and1 server the error is "database update needed", but in my working copy all is good with XAMPP.
Thanks very much and excuse me for my english.

check cookies or _httpRoot value in settings file
Code:
// The relative path in the URL, after the domain part. Do not include the
// http:// prefix or the web host name. e.g. If the full URL is
// http://www.example.com/mydms/, set $_httpRoot = "/mydms/".
// If the URL is http://www.example.com/, set $_httpRoot = "/".
var $_httpRoot = "/LetoDMS-3.0.0/";
or post your settings file in the forum

And why in
check.php we have the advice to use
http://localhost/LetoDMS-3.0.0/, if i use this variant we have problems with login using admin/admin.
