Automatically adjust access privileges depending on document status?

Hi,

is there a possibilty to automize the acces level for documents? E.g. a document that has to be reviewed and approved would be inaccessible for users in a special group, as well es documents set as expired.

This can be already done by hand but an automated function would help a lot.

That sounds like a reasonable feature but isn't that simple to implement. It requires to have different access rights depending on the status of the document and that will not be possible without a database change and major changes to the user interface.
